The Rocky Mountain News reports that a poll conducted last month with Talmey-Drake Research & Strategy of Boulder shows two-thirds of Coloradans still favor a proposed state constitutional amendment to limit Hispanic instruction.
The proposed state constitutional amendment would in effect dismantle bilingual education.
According to the article, there has been a concerted effort to get the initiative on the November ballot. The amendment is supported by a committee called English for the Children of Colorado, while it is opposed by a group called English +.
