State testing is making its way into third grade! If the new education commissioner has his way, it will be in third grade as early as spring 2003. Governor McGreevey’s drive to get all third-graders reading at their grade level has raised the issue of having state tests starting in third grade. What are your feelings on state testing being lowered to third grade? How do the fourth grade teachers feel about ESPA being trimmed down?
